Our fully equipped childcare facilities are designed to assist parents and guardians in pursuing their recreational and fitness interests at MOVE Moonee Valley facilities with peace of mind knowing that your child is being taken care of in a safe, supportive, well equipped environment. Childcare is available at both Ascot Vale Leisure Centre and Keilor East Leisure Centre.
Overseen by fully qualified childcare staff, our childcare facility operates for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years old. This service is available to our members and casual visitors, when we have all the required information you will be able to book child's spot at reception or via our Active World app.
Childcare features
We provide a fun and safe environment with activities including indoor and outdoor play, home corner, story books, arts and crafts, puzzles, blocks, and playdough.
While the children are entertained, parents can enjoy the family-friendly gym facilities. Including our large selection of group fitness classes, use of the gym and swimming pools or indulge in some well-deserved downtime at our cafe.
Availability and childcare bookings
Childcare and occasional care are available to both members and non-members. Sessions can be booked back-to-back and can be made on a casual basis or up to two weeks in advance.
Childcare - these are sessions available to parents and guardians that are staying in the centre and utilising the facilities (e.g., to have a swim, do a workout or attend a group fitness class).
Occasional care - these are sessions for parents and guardians that need to leave the centre (e.g., to attend work, an appointment, run errands etc).
Opening hours
Our operating hours are Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). There are 3 sessions between the hours of 9am – 1pm. For your convenience, we have coordinated the session times with most group fitness classes to accommodate childcare planning.

Session 3: 11:40 am – 1:00 pm^
^NOTE: Session 3 - 11:40am - 1:00pm is only available at Ascot Vale Leisure Centre.

Enrolment and induction process
Before your child can be left in the care of our childcare staff, a fully completed enrolment form along with a copy of your child’s immunisation details must be submitted. Parents/carers are required to attend an induction, which are conducted at from 9:30am Monday to Friday. Please contact Jackie to arrange a time.
